We are Wade and Shelly. Wood has been a central part of our story for over thirty years. Together we’ve built custom homes, made log furniture, milled our own lumber, and more recently have began creating unique laser-engraved wood products. We’ve found our niche in design and creation of unique wood products from reclaimed sources. We enjoy both the design and the woodworking elements involved in creating lovely, unique, and sometimes just fun pieces of wooden jewelry. We enjoy creating custom junior ranger badges for the National Parks Services, wooden key rings and magnets for museums, businesses and retail shops.
As a team, we perform the entire process: everything from designing each piece of to assembling and finishing it. The process often begins with locating quality hardwoods that are destined to be someone’s firewood, and reclaiming them for our projects. Next, we mill the wood on our homemade sawmill, and sand each board to bring out the natural beauty of the grain pattern and color. We then use our laser engraver to cut out every individually-designed products, and finish with another round of sanding and a multiple coats of light clear finish on most products.
